How to check WAEC BECE Results on the phone

WAEC BECE Candidates should follow the following procedures to check their BECE Results on their phones. After successfully completing these procedures, an SMS containing your BECE Exams Result will be sent to your phone.

1. Dial *944# or *447*160# (WEAC Ghana Mobile Service)
2. Select Option 1 – Result Checker Pins
3. Select Option 2 – School and Private (BECE, WASSCE)
4. Payment Option (Network provider)
5. Choose your mobile wallet number –either Self or Other(NB: you will be charged GHS 10.00 as payment)
6. Now Dial *170#
7. Select Option 6
8. Follow by Option 3
9. Approve your Transaction
10. An SMS containing your Results checker PIN will be sent via your phone

How to check WAEC BECE Results via SMS

Candidates are also provided with a WAEC BECE USSD service that allows students to check BECE Results via SMS by dialling a short USSD code.

1. Dial *944#
2. Select Exam (e.g BECE)
3. Enter Year of Completion (Must be 1990 – 2021) for BECE School
4. Enter Index Number (Must be 9 to 12 digit)
5. Input your Date of Birth (Must be in this format dd/mm/yyyy)
6. Enter your Result Checker PIN
7. Wait for your result via SMS

How to check WAEC BECE Results with mobile money

Candidates can also check WAEC BECE Results using the Mobile Money Service (MOMO) by following the guidelines below

1. First Dial MTN Mobile Money short code : *170#
2. Select Momo pay & pay bill
3. Select the Pay bill option
4. Select General payment
5. A prompt will be sent to you. Enter the following Payment Code: monicliq , Amount: 11GHC (enter multiples if you want to buy more than one), Reference: BECE
6. Enter your MTN mobile money pin to authorize the payment.
7. The Result voucher will be sent by SMS to your phone number as an SMS.
