SSNIT Student Loans 2024. Replaced by the Students Loan Trust Fund is a public institution established under the Trustee Incorporation Act 1962, Act 106 to provide financial resources for the benefit of students and to promote and facilitate the national ideals as enshrined in Articles 25 and 38 of the 1992 Constitution. The Students Loan Trust Fund Act 2011, Act 820 has been passed by Parliament. The online application process for 2024 Student Loan Trust Fund has been opened. In this post we will explore how you can apply for your student loan, activate your SLTF account, etc.

Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF)

Students Trust Fund is a public institution founded in 2005 under the Trustee Incorporation Act 162, Act 106. Its mandate is to provide financial support to tertiary students and to inspire students to discover their full potential. The Students Loan Trust Fund replaces the then, SSNIT Students Loan Scheme.

Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) Application Criteria

Find below the Criteria for Applying for a Student Loan from SLTF

  • Firstly, you must be a Ghanaian.
  • Secondly, you must have been given admission into a recognized tertiary program in Ghana before application.
  • You must also be enrolled in a tertiary program, such as a diploma or first degree.
  • You must have applied or have a valid Ghana Card Number (it can be acquired at designated GRA offices for free)
  • Also you must have a valid email address, as well as a mobile phone number.
  • Lastly, you must have a Student ID card or admittance letter on hand
  • Finally you must get an E-zwich Card from any nearby bank.

  How To Apply For Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF)

Follow the Procedure to apply for Student loan at any Tetiary Tnstitution

  1. To begin with, visit the official website
  2. Click the Signup button first time applicant
  3. Click Agree if you agree
  4. Then, fill in the necessary information
  5. Click Next
  6. Check on the user account information screen, the box “I agree to terms of service”
  7. Click the Create Account button.
  8. After your account is officially created, you will receive an activation code via phone or email
  9. Enter the code you received in the textbox provided.
  10. Click on the Activate Account button.

How To Activate Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) Account

Follow the steps to activate your account 

  • Firstly, upload all necessary and essential supporting papers
  • Confirm your application data
  • Thirdly, download and upload any Agreement documents asked by the application
  • Take your biometric fingerprint to the nearest zonal or campus office
  • Click the Login button
  • Click Activate Account 
  • The, enter your Ghana card number/SSNIT number
  • Click the Send Code button
  • Enter verification code
  • Click the Verify button
  • Sign in to complete your student loan application

 NOTE:

  1. If you did not get you activation code for any reason after 24hours, you should contact the closest Students Loan office for assistance
  2. Also, note that any activation code sent to you expires after 48hours
  3. Importantly, make sure you enter your correct active phone number and email address. Email address should be in small letters to receive the activation code

How To Reset Students Loan Trust Fund Password

Follow this procedure to reset your forgotten password

  1. Visit the SLTF website
  2. Click the Login button
  3. Click on Forgotten Password below the Sign-in form
  4. Afterward, enter your Ghana card number/SSNlT number
  5. Click on Next
  6. Select Send Code to your activation code
  7. You must do this after getting the activation code
  8. You will receive an SMS with an activation code
  9. Afterward, you must enter the code into the Verification Code input field
  10. Click the Verify button
  11. Then, you must enter your new password
  12. Click Submit
  13. Log in using you Ghana card number/SSNlT number and their new password
