Pentecost University entry requirements, admission form, courses and fees. The Pentecost University is a private university in Ghana located at Sowutuom in the Greater Accra Region. It was founded by The Church of Pentecost as an institution for higher learning in the year 2003. In this article, we outline the entry requirements, admission form, courses and fees for Pentecost University College.

Pentecost University General Admission Requirements

SSCS Holders Entry Requirements

Six (6) passes including:

  • Core English,
  • Core Mathematics
  • and either Integrated Science
  • or Social Studies
  • and three (3) Electives in relevant subjects

Applicants should have an aggregate score of 6 – 24 in the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations.

Wassce Holders Entry Requirements

Six (6) Credits including:

  • Core English,
  • Core Mathematics
  • and either Integrated Science or Social Studies
  • and three (3) Electives in relevant subjects

‘A’ Level Holders Entry Requirements

Five (5) Credit passes in GCE ‘O’ Level Examination, including:

  • English Language
  • and Mathematics
  • and Three (3) ‘A-Level passes in relevant subjects.
  • A pass in the General paper is required.

Mature Applicants

  • Must be at least 25 years old and above at the time of submitting the application
  • Must have at least two years of relevant work experience
  • must pass a written examination and an interview conducted by the College for Mature Applicants.

Other Certificate Holders

  • City and Guilds
  • Senior Stenography certificate
  • Private Secretary
  • and any other Certificates in related subject deemed equivalent to the above-mentioned certificates can also apply to be considered on merit

Diploma and Professional Certificates Holders

  • HND in related subjects
  • ABE Certificate or higher qualification with CREDIT scores in English and Mathematics
  • ICA part 1 or higher qualification
  • CIM Certificate or higher qualification
  • CA part 1 or higher qualification
  • ICSA part 1 or higher qualification
  • RSA part III
  • LCCI part III
  • CII
  • City and Guilds part III.
  • WAEC Commercial Diploma and any other Diploma
  • or Certificate in the related subject area, which the University deems equivalent to the above-mentioned certificates, can also apply.

Association of Business Executive (ABE)

There is no particular grade required of applicants who wish to pursue this professional programme. Regardless of the grade attained at WASSCE, interested applicants can use that to apply for ABE. A candidate who, however, wish to apply for a Degree programme after successfully passing ABE are expected to have 5 Credits at WASSCE; at least C6 in 3 Core subjects and C6 in 2 electives.

National Computing Center (NCC) Education

The main requirement for applicants for NCC Education is to have a pass in Maths and English in the WASSCE exams.

Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM UK)

There is no particular grade required of applicants who wish to pursue this professional programme. Regardless of the grade attained at WASSCE interested applicants can use that to apply for the CIM UK programme. However, candidates who have a Diploma in Marketing (eg HND) or a 1st Degree in Marketing are given an exemption to join the programme at a higher level.

Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT)

There is no particular grade required of applicants who wish to pursue this professional programme. Regardless of the grade attained at WASSCE interested applicants can use that to apply for the CILT programme.

  2. Attach a result slip and
  3. Two (2) passport pictures

Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG)

The main requirement for applicants for ICAG is to have a pass in Maths and English in the WASSCE exams.

How to apply for Pentecost University Admission

Students interested in enrolling on Pentvars may apply through our online student admission portal by following the steps below or download the application form from here, fill it out, and submit it by post to the admissions department.

Pentecost University Online Application

  1. Visit the Pentvars online application portal
  2. Click on Online Application
  3. Register for Login Pin
  4. Fill out the forms appropriately
  5. Upload certified copies of your certificates, result slip and any other relevant documents
  6. Upload scanned passport-size photograph
  7. Click on the send button when you are done

Pentecost University Application Form

  1. Go to Homepage
  2. Click on Application Forms
  3. Click on Download Application Form
  4. Fill form appropriately
  5. Add certified copies of your certificates, result slip and any other relevant documents
  6. Include 3 passport pictures with one endorsed

Fees and Payment Policies

  • Students are required to pay at least 50% of the tuition fee and all other fees (Academic user fee, SRC dues, Pentvars Journal, Technology User fee) at the beginning of the semester to register online.
  • Students are required to pay any remaining fee before the revision week to enable them to write their exams.

Payment Procedures

  1. Log on to www.pentvars.edu.gh
  2. Click on e-portal
  3. Click on the fees payment e-portal or visit www.interpayafrica.com/puc/student
  4. Log in with your student ID Number as the username and 123456 as the password
  5. Copy/Note the PIN from the home page after login …. exp: pin 2335265002456
  6. Go back to the e-portal
  7. Click on undergraduate e-portal
  8. Enter your username and password NB (StudentID as the username and StudentID as the password)
  9. Enter/Paste copied PIN in the course registration field.
  10. Click on the register button to register (if the registration pin has been reflected)

Note: Students who fail to meet the registration deadline will be charged a late registration fee for that particular semester.
