How to Check KUCCPS Placement via KUCCPS Student Portal

These guidelines will help you check your KUCCPS application status using the online portal;

  1. Access the KUCCPS portal via students.kuccps.net/
  2. Click on the login button at the top right corner of the page
  3. Enter your KCSE INDEX NUMBER, KCSE YEAR, and PASSWORD (Use Your Birth Certificate No. OR KCPE Index No (as used in KCSE Exam Registration) as your Initial Password)
  4. Click on the login button 
  5. Wait for the system to authenticate and redirect you.
  6. Your course and assigned institution will be displayed on the dashboard of your account

How to Check KUCCPS Placement via SMS Shortcode

Applicants can check their Placement using the KUCCPS Shortcode;

  1. Open your Phone Messages Chat
  2. Send your Index Number starting with your KCSE year to the shortcode 20842

Examples of the Correct Format: 202112345678912 or 202212345678912 (KCSE year + Index Number)

How to Check KUCCPS Placement Using Mobile App

Here is how to check your placement using the Mobile App;

  1. Download the KUCCPS Students App via Google Play Store
  2. Click on the icon to launch the App
  3. Log in with your credentials
  4. Explore to view your placement status

Who can apply for KUCCPS Placement

  • Application for degree courses is open only to the KCSE examination class of 2023 for applicants with C+ and above.
  • Form Four Leavers who sat the KCSE examination between the years 2000 and 2023 and have never been placed by KUCCPS are eligible to apply for courses at all levels except Degree. They can only apply for courses offered in the TVET colleges.
  • Form Four Leavers who sat for KCSE between the years 2000 and 2023 and scored C (plain) and above are eligible to apply for placement to Primary Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs).
  • Application to Primary TTCs is also open to Kenyans who have done other courses but wish to train to become teachers, those with foreign qualifications, and non-Kenyan citizens.
